Not sure what I can say. For the price, these appear to be a great buy... time will tell of course. I have a pretty average size 9 foot and these were snug on the top out of the box. I loosened up the laces and even pulled the laces out of the top set of eyelets for easy slip on and off action.

Lacks arch support.
I bought the Pebble Shoal Lace up because I was looking for a comfortable casual shoe that might withstand some occasional trail time. It does have a somewhat rugged appearance, and is less expensive than other brands. However, I don't belive it will be as durable as the Keen or Merrel brand. The toe guard is a synthetic leather, not rubber or leather, and the tongue is a soft material that may get "picked" on the trail. Time will tell.
Initially the shoe was pretty comfy, but eventually the lack of arch support and general cushioning became an issue. I purchased some Dr. Scholl's Active Series inserts and now I can wear them comfortably all day.
I like the light weight and low profile appearance of the shoe. The sole has a lot of grip, though not sturdy enough for rocky terrain. I feel it is more of an everyday shoe when the look of a running shoe is not what you want. Looks great with jeans or shorts.

Good looking, comfortable shoe
Bought these after seeing them in a local store. Very comfortable and love the style. Fits like a shoe but looks similar to a hiking boot. Great pair of casual shoes.
