Comfortable with retro styling
Purchased a pair of New Balance 2000, fits comfortable and has a nice retro style.
Order a half size down, since the shoes are bigger. I normally wear size 10.5 and I have to order a size 10.

Too narrow
I normally wear the New Balance 993 which are great.
The M2000 has a more narrow sole and feels more unstable.
Not as comfortable as the 993
I've owned NB running shoes for the past 20 years. They are the most comfortable shoes ever. I started with the classic in the 90's, moved up to the 802s for trail running and casual wearing. For the past 5 or so years I've had the 993s which are like slippers and fit perfectly. I thought I should try something new and get the M2000, however, it does not compare to the 993. Some differences I've found as compared to my 993 are:
CONS:
- Cannot feel the ABZORB cushioning. Very hard cushioning in the heel, felt hard and stiff like a cheap generic running shoe. Walked about 5 miles before running and couldn't break it in.
- Bottom mid section of shoe feels high. Maybe made for high arch people.
- Tongue of shoe cut slightly narrow and when laces are tight, the edges of tongue digs into the top of your foot. Very uncomfortable.
- Heel support is good, but the way my heel strikes it forces my ankle to rotate slightly. Because of my ankle rotating and my heel...
