Most comfortable walking shoe ,ever!
I have a rare form of neuropathy which makes walking (in shoes) very difficult. I am more balanced walking barefooted. So! when wearing shoes is somewhat difficult. I have tried so! many different style, brands of walking shoes. But! all ended up with still feeling as if I was wearing shoes with lead soles!. I was at the gym and my trainer had a pair of Merrell's Trail Glove Barefoot's. they looked so comfortable on his feet and almost more like a sock with a rubber sole than a traditional athletic shoe. He said they were the best athletic shoe he has ever worn. He runs in them, trains in them and wears them as a casual shoe.
So! I decided to invest in a pair of Merrell Barefoot's. I choose this style (buck). I wear them everyday. to work, at home, out. Only shoe I wear now,, except occasional Merrell sandals, :). Merrell makes some of the best and most comfortable footwear.. I am a true and loyal customer now. As I am writing this review I am actually purchasing...

Not the shoe for Hardcore Minimalists
Before I start this review, I feel the need to stress that I am a diehard (and I mean DIE HARD) fan of Merrell Barefoot shoes; I own six pairs and counting. I would sing the praises of Merrell far and wide to anyone who would listen and have only worn Merrell Barefoots since 2011. I really wanted to add the Edge Gloves to my praises, but sadly I can't.
I'm glad that the Edge Glove has helped other people with foot conditions, but for me, these shoes were a step backward. If you're a diehard minimalist who likes to have a little cushion as possible between your feet and the ground and a wide toe box that allows your toes to spread, this is NOT the shoe for you. My feet felt constricted and confused with all the cushion in the soles I tried walking through a gravel pit that I took all of my barefoot shoes through to see how much feedback I would get from the Edge Gloves; I hardly felt a thing, even the sharpest rock hardly registered. Very Disappointing. The toe box didn't...
Perfect "barefoot" shoe for the office
I'm not much of a runner since the three knee operations back in my high school days, but I am a big fan of the "minimalist" type footware. I own a pair of Vibram Fivefingers that are used quite a bit for weight lifting and random errands around town. I would wear them constantly, but I don't think that they would be covered by my office's business casual dress policy.
Enter the Merrell Edge Gloves. The bracken color is dark enough to pass for office shoes unless under close scrutiny (and close scrutiny usually results in questions about how I like them rather than their appropriateness). The shoes are quite comfortable with either Thorlo Boot Socks in the winter for warmth, or with injinji Toesocks in summer (I prefer the Injinji, as they allow more toe...
