Good Looks and Comfort
Since I've only worn these for several weeks, I can't speak for their durability. However, I'm very pleased with their looks and fit, very comfortable.

Near Perfect
Half shoe half sneaker is right. I've had several pair of Rocport Taconic sneakers from 2001. You can find some of those here and there, but they are cheaper now (not one solid piece of leather anymore). I've been dying to find a replacement.

K-Swiss got it right! Their heel-cup is harder like a shoe. but 100% lined all the way around the inside with soft high quality leather. The tongue is all leather too. Most sneaks, even good ones, have a fabric heel with a flimsy heel-cup. and a lousy tongue.

It's the Same basic upper design as the original white classic, but without the four stripes and D-ring lace eyelets. This is a better look and more dress-casual. The laces help there too.

I was debating on getting the straight Clean Classics,but the heel-cup is not the same. It's more sporty, and is pieced together in the middle of the instep upper (Money....) The insert is not as good either.(same one as the other K-Swiss sneakers I ordered black...
Great shoes
These are great shoe. They are a dress shoe on the top, sneeker on the bottom. And they are comfortable.
