great looking, ok water show, terrible traction
I do a lot of water activities in florida and when i travel, i do a lot of white water rafting, canyoneering, and hiking. obviously, having 1 shoe to fit all those needs is optimal. These shoes fit good, look good, and drain good. however, the traction is TERRIBLE when hiking in waterfalls and on rocks and trails near or on rivers. obviously, rocks in or around waterfalls or in rivers are bound to be a bit slippy, but i had ZERO traction with these guys. I gave it 3 stars because they are great for rafting or kayaking, they look super slick and they dry quickly, but they are even SLICKER (read slippery) on wet rock. They basically defeated the my purpose for buying these shoes. if i could return them, i would.
If you want a good water shoe that's comfortable, good looking, and great in raft or kayak, get these shoes. if you plan on doing all the previous PLUS walking and hiking and canyoneering on slippery rock, opt for something with more traction. I would have...

Perfect Fit!
I never liked the appearance or feel of any water shoe on the market - until this one! These are extremely comfortable to walk around in without socks - they feel almost like wearing sneakers with socks. I have used them while swimming through an underground cave and while white water rafting - and they were the perfect thing to have each time. Most people cannot even tell that I am wearing water shoes until I tell them - people just think they're sneakers or running shoes.
Best purchase for my cruise
I never write reviews on products but do use them as a guideline. After using these shoes, I HAD to write something.
My girlfriend and I took a cruise to Bermuda and were looking for water shoes that were comfortable and functional. These shoes far exceeded our expectations. As a previous owner of Merrell shoes, I know how comfortable they can be. We each had a pair of these shoes and we went from the ocean to a pool to swim with dolphins right on to our moped. The never chaffed or blistered our feet. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone who is thinking about getting these. My advice is GET THEM.
